What does "Brand brief" mean?
Brand brief Instagram accounts are Instagram accounts that are created to showcase a brand’s identity and personality in a concise and visually appealing way. These accounts usually have a clear brand voice and aesthetic that is consistent throughout their content. They are used to promote the brand’s products or services, engage with their audience, and build brand awareness.
What is Pop the corn?
Pop the corn is a brand @Brand.brief made for June 26th 2023 contest.

Create a line of gourmet popcorn flavors, offering unique and delicious combinations such as truffle parmesan, sriracha lime, or caramel sea salt.
The process
Designing a brand is so important, a brand design must has:
A stunning designs to attract customers and clients.
Simple and easy logo to memorize.
Can't stress this one enough, A brand special Color.
Funny, rhyming easy to memorize slogan.
How to get inspired? -I follow the following list:
Pinterest is my favorite inspiring platform,
millions or artists around the globe
Behance. a professional alternative for Pinterest.
Google, if I ever wanted to search an idea
or get inspired google is my way to go!
Logo design
So what reminds you of popcorn other than cinema? popcorn itself!, simple but effective!, so let me demonstarte exactly what I did here, so in order to make the logo always reminds the customers of popcorn, I simply chosen popcorn icon as the main logo idea and then placed the text around it as I will show you in the next picture.
as you can see here the way I placed the text around the icon is a common way and used in movies and posters medium for example like the
fast and furious
franshise
poster
it's interesting yet comfortable for human eyes and of course easy to read, you'll never read the words in a wrong order it's always going to be
Pop the corn
.
The Color
you'll be asking why 100% saturation
red
? let me demonstarte for you why exactly red, in color science also known as
The Color theory
, In food industry designers always attend to choose a shade of
red
,
Orange
or
yellow
shades, summary the reason why is because such warm color icreases appitite and gives warm feelings for the viewer you can learn more on why such specific colors
here
.
Packaging design
you'll ask me, why packaging is so important? just stick a logo padge on the packaging and viola that's it. well you're actually kind of right! but after stick you logo, It gets way complicated from here you see what does the packaging should do? packaging holds the info and data of the product inside, like a
shipping package
it holds the name of the recipient and the sender both name and address, at the same idea applies to a food packaging, it shows you the components of the product inside, the net weight, the ingredients and much more! and this is what I did exactly in my design as you can see in the next picture below.
I'll break-down the design what is the blue-print that I followed here exactly. in the picture below you can see the blue-print and the design map for this package.
why exactly this layout?
1- Logo
Alright
, let me ask you the following question: what's the first thing you look at when you are buying a cereal box? you probably will say the manufacturer the brand right? now you can see why I put the logo on the first line. people attend to love a specific brand, brands top target in thier targeted ads not to showcase there products or to blow you away with the quality of the ad, they want to create a imaginary loyalty, they want loyal customers whom going to buy their products consistently and even recommend their products for family and friends, you see? that's why the logo should be first.
2- Pictures representing the product & the flavor
now what's the very next thing you look at? right, the product itself and the flavour. this one is expresses itself if you want to buy a popcorn you're expecting a popcorn image on the packaging, now the flavour is simple, just add a clear text easy to read to descripe the flavour.
3- Health certified stamps
health icons and stamps, this generation Z, is now as aware as a 10 year-experienced doctor back in the 1900s so certified health stamps are a great way to prove the quality of your products.
4- Weight
last but not least is
weight
people expecting a certain amount for a specific price, no one will buy a 20g of sugar for 100$, so weight is important of course. as well as the color palette which i'm going to demonstarte in the next picture below.
Color palette
Color palette is an important aspect of packaging design as it can influence consumer behavior and perception. Colors can evoke emotions and feelings that can affect the way people perceive a product, For example as you saw above, for the Caramel flavour, I chose shades of warm
yellow
,
orange
and
beige
representing the
caramel
color, And white text to contrast with the background.
